A brief about Ayurveda

Ayurveda which is an integral part of atharvaveda later became an independent branch of medicine & developed into eight specialities, which were widely practised in ancient India.

Ayurveda is known as the science of life, which guides to lead a wholesome life for providing good health & to discard the factors or abstain from things which are harmful to the living being.

Ayurveda works on the principles of Tridosha, Panchamahabuta, Saptadhatus, Trimalas, and Agni etc. which govern one’s body. So proper functioning of all these in equilibrium results in a healthy life.

Ayurveda aims at maintenance of the health of healthy person & were of the diseased state of the patient. Based on this treatment is classified into 2 division, one for promotion of health and other for curing the diseases.

Herbal plants

Medicinal plants are the sources for majority of ayurvedic preparations. When we deal with them as a single drug it can be used as medicine as well as diet. Ayurveda gives rich knowledge on plenty of herbs. When we take the whole world, the medications prescribed contain compounds that are directly or indirectly derived from plants. But, this traditional old system of medicine
gives simple & effective medicament based on simple drug.
